BUS RIDING TIPS FOR
YOUNG PEOPLE, PARENTS, AND TEACHERS

Please carry identification and, if a
child is riding alone, have the child carry identification
and know his/her name, address, and telephone number.
- Know the route number of the bus you need and when and
where to catch it.
- Please teach young people by riding the bus with them.
RULES FOR RIDING
BUSES
- No eating or drinking
- No playing of any audio device
- No writing on seats or destruction of property
- No cursing, swearing or disruptive behavior
- No littering
- No bicycles
- No hazardous materials (e.g. gas cans, batteries)
- No soliciting
- Exact fare is required; no change will be given
- Please reserve designated seats for elderly passengers
with disabilities
- Do not stick arms, hands, or head out the window of the
bus
- All strollers must be folded before entering bus
- Standing in front of standee line is not permitted
- Riders under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be
removed by the police
- Shirts and shoes must be worn
- Service animals are allowed on buses
- Please do not engage in unnecessary conversation with
drivers
